I think your cash is pretty safe mate. Whilst Sydney are very good at minimising the oppositions score, there is no way they have the key defenders to hold down the Hawks’ attack for 4 quarters. I would say Hawks will lead by 3 or 4 goals most of the night before kicking away in the last quarter and winning by around 50. Wet conditions won’t make too much of a difference, will actually suit Mitchell, Bateman etc.
    Best of luck mate.

Sydney are a team that surprise us all, actually out of all the teams in the afl they are probably the ones that have the most tricks/surprises up their sleeves. They are the type of team that will be quiet for 2 quaters and come out the next two kicking a goal a minute..anyway, good luck hope you win some cash.

You’re a brave man, the way Sydney play they’ll shut the whole game down, both sides will struggle to score freely, with the game more than likely be decided by 30pts and under i’m guessing.
Wet grounds and conditions don’t lend themselves to high scoring games by either teams playing as a rule.

No.Rain doesn’t make sides any better, worse or harder. The major sports grounds have better drainage these days.It will come down to who wants the ball more, makes less skill errors and if it does rain during the game who handles the conditions better.

man i hate to tell you this but……thats not a good idea lol.
With Hawthorn having never played at ANZ, 40 points+ for only $3.25??
You will probably be better off putting $25 on Collingwood, Carlton, Essendon and WB to win!!

It’s been raining cats and dogs (no, I don’t mean Geelong and Footscray, ha ha) in Sydney. With the state of the ground the winning SCORE might be not much more than 40 points!!
So, to conclude: I think you’ve done your dough!

Hawthorn should win rain hail or shine but i don’t think the margin will be over 40 points it will be the hawks by 24points.

Daryl……(if that’s you), I think you just lost $100. You should of gave it to me instead. Sydney will surprise everyone, not saying they will win, but the heavy ground conditions will help their cause.

Very risky Bet Mate, a Week of rain leading to a soggy surface does
not lend itself to a Fast Flowing, Free Scoring Game!
I’m a Hawks Man and I’ll just be happy with the Win!!!

The reigning premiers to go 0-2…
And you to do your dough!
